Carat, Color, Clarity and Cut: 4CS measure the value of diamond jewelry

We combine wealth and brilliance with diamonds and jewels. Four features show how valuable a gem: Carat (karat), color (color), Clarity (purity) and cut (cut). For all four properties, there are quality gradations that are meticulously checked by trained experts and confirmed with a certificate. The better a diamond is evaluated in these properties, the less common, more valuable and more expensive it is.

Carat: Karat is the measurement size, the information gives about the weight. A carat weighs exactly 0.2 grams. The higher the carat specification, the greater the diamond. Very few jewelry stones are even greater or heavier than 1 carat after the cut.
Color: It also depends on the color, or more on the lack of it. In most cases, diamonds are colorless or white. Colored diamonds are created by inclusions of certain elements or irregularities of the crystal grille, which leads to an absorption of certain wavelengths of the light. Depending on the enclosed element, another color impression of the diamond is created. Blue diamonds like the famous Hope diamond, for example, get their color from storing the element boron.
Clarity: The most expensive stones shine through their clear purity. So purity means the absence of inclusions and other inner characteristics that affect the brilliance of the stone.
Cut: The fascinating sparkle of the diamonds is only released by the cut. Perfect proportions and exact surfaces, which are called facets for precious stones, ensure that the incident light is thrown back glittering and dancing. The cut is ideal when the radiating light in the diamond is reflected so that it is returned in parallel. There are different types or shapes into which a diamond can be sanded.
